This is one of the most iconic films of the 1980s and perhaps one of the most famous by director Shinji Somai, who has already appeared here on the blog twice with Love Hotel and Moving, and here he satirizes the Yakuza films of the 1960s with a fun film that made the name of the idol Hiroko Yakushimaru, the star of the movie who plays the protagonist as well as singing the soundtrack.

Due to its popularity, the movie received a series in the 2000s and also received a sort of "sequel" called Sailor Suit and Machine Gun: Graduation in 2016, which unfortunately has a horrible English translation, since the Blu-ray didn't have English subtitles.

  1. I am interested in this movie but... it is over 5GB ! Other movies you offer here that i checked are also big in size. Are at least some movies smaller? I know big size = good quality but can you upload also smaller versions (around 1GB)?
Me and i am sure many others got limited internet so it is unwise to use few GB for a movie that looks interesting and might be good but also might just be shitty.
    Thanks
